Morrison’s Local and residential apartments at Macclesfield Hospital, off Prestbury Road, Macclesfield

Service

Following a successful planning approval, Baldwin Design was appointed in 2012 to produce a full package of construction drawings for a Morrison’s Local convenience store and 16 residential apartments. Based on a design and build contract, Baldwin Design were employed as lead consultant to produce full design and working drawing from concept to completion. The Practice monitored all site queries to final construction, which included the erection of a steel podium to ground floor with timber frame to the upper floors.

The scheme was commended in recognition of good design as well as in the preservation and enhancement of the character of the town and promotion of its identity at the Macclesfield Civic Society awards.
